  Welcome to 1st Grade   It is Week 8 we are approaching the end of Quarter 1. Parent teacher conferences are coming up so please make sure to sign up to discuss how your scholar is doing in school it is good to check in and see if there are any questions regarding school or your scholar Links will be listed below.  Library cycle A will be going this week so please bring your book this week so they can get a brand-new book :) Also  We have our 1st Poem Recitation that will be happening this week on the 1-2nd of October so make sure you are practicing the motions they will learn on Monday and to project their voice, so they are ready to go. Our 1st Celebration is also this Thursday so thank you to all of Room parents and volunteers helping and doing all they have done! This week is filled with Tests because we are in the end of Quarter 1 We have our Math Chapter 3 and History and Science Unit 1. We hope everyone has a Great Week! Progress reports went out on Friday, if you have any questions or concerns with your scholars' grades don't hesitate to send an email to your scholar's teachers. Library cycle A will be going this week so please bring your book this week so they can get a brand-new book :) . We hope everyone has a Great Week! October 3rd:  Fairy Tale Celebration (More info TBA) October 4th : End of Quarter 1  October 11th : No School  October 14th-15th : Parent/ Teacher Conferences  October 14 th-18th : Fall Break  Important Information: - Scholars with Upper School siblings (who wait in the MPR at carline) must have a silent reading book everyday with them or in their backpack. - Please make sure your scholar packs a snack everyday so  they  can refresh their energy. It  doesn't  have to be a big snack but just something to tie them over

  Welcome to 1st Grade   This week is a bit eventful! On  Thursday the 14th  we have our curriculum night! This is a night where parents can live a day in the life of a scholar. Yall will be learning and seeing what your scholar gets to do every day. We are so excited and thrilled to see and meet some of our new families that have joined our Great Hearts Western Hills family! Also, the weather has begun to shift so please remind your scholars to bring their sweater and if they do bring a jacket that is not a Great Hearts Sweater, they CAN NOT wear it inside only when outside the building.
